Elliott celebrates 50th game on home turf
When Courtney Elliott ran onto the court in her 50th ANZ Premiership game on Saturday night, it felt right to be wearing the Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel uniform.
In fact, there was a sense of déjà vu with her debut in netball’s top echelon back in 2018.
“It’s nice because obviously I started here with the Steel so to be back to do my 50 is pretty special,” Elliott said.

• The Steel has played 10 ANZ Premiership matches at the Edgar Centre in Dunedin for a record of five wins and five losses. They have lost their past two matches played in Dunedin.
• The Steel has won both previous meetings against the Mystics in Dunedin in 2017 and 2019.
