The legendary southern coach will be at the forefront of everyone’s minds as the two teams contest the annual Georgie Salter Memorial at ILT Stadium Southland. To keep their ANZ Premiership finals quest alive, the round 12 clash doubles as a must-win for Steel against the table-topping Aucklanders.

• When the teams last met in Round 7 this season the Steel defeated the Mystics 63-58 in Auckland. The Steel lead head-to-head in the ANZ Premiership with 11 wins and three losses.
• The Steel and Mystics have met 32 times since 2008 with the Steel winning 19 and the Mystics 13. The Steel has won three of the past four meetings between the teams.
• The Steel have played 22 ANZ Premiership matches at ILT Stadium Southland in Invercargill for a record of 19 wins and three losses. The Steel and Mystics have played four previous matches in Invercargill and the Steel has won all four.

In support of our ANZ Premiership Community Celebration Round, we’re looking for FIVE southern community netball clubs to battle it out in a series of challenges at half time during our Steel v Pulse game in Invercargill on Sat 24 July.
Plus we have another $1000 up for grabs! The first 1000 people through the doors to attend the game will be given a token to vote for their favourite netball club to share in another second prize of $1000. All Netball South Zone netball clubs are welcome to register to be included in this Public vote prize competition.
